Good to Know

What to Expect After Laser Cleaning

Plan to Protect Your Metal

Freshly cleaned bare metal begins to oxidize right away, and flash rust can appear within 24 to 48 hours. This is normal metal chemistry, not a cleaning defect.

Have your primer, paint, rust inhibitor, or sealant ready to apply within 24 hours of pickup, and keep the item in a dry place until it’s coated.

Cleaning Reveals the True Surface

Rust and old paint can hide what’s underneath. Once they’re removed, you may see pitting, corrosion, cracks, or other damage that was already there.

Seeing the true condition of your metal helps you make the right call on repairs before refinishing.
